WITD 501.06 Safety w Two Handed Whip Work12 viewsSafety is twice as important with two handed whip work. Whips can become tangled, can deflect and go astray, can not end up where you intend because of a lack of focus, skill or mileage with a certain technique or pattern. The whip bottom or catcher should in the learning phase of the whip thrower wear eye protection, recommend a neck pillow or rolled up towel around the neck and consider wearing a leather vest in the early stages of the whip thrower getting comfortable with two handed work. The whip thrower should wear a wide brim hat, long sleeves, long pants, and consider safety glasses. Practice practice practice, but be safe first. Until both whips go where you intend them without you having to even think, then over think safety for both the whip thrower and catcher.

Clamps 101.01 Introduction to Clamps_ Munch Level13 viewsIntroduces the purpose of clamps, the most common clamp (a clothespin), and four basic types or categories of clamps used in dungeon play. WITD 101.55 Fan or Whirly Bird Style17 viewsThe fan or as I call it whirly bird style is fairly common as a flogging technique. It is not a technique I normally teach because the goal is to be able to apply techniques you use with all classes of dungeon whips. While whirly bird works with a flogger, if a singletail is thrown with this style it causes undue, excessive torquing forces internal to the bolster and bellies of the whip. I contend it will make a singletail break down quicker and become a wet noodle regardless of how good the initial construction was. Many throw this style of singletail and if it is thrown with a finger flogger style grip the internal stresses are less, but I still do not personally recommend it. There are few don'ts as everyone finds a different path to whip throwing. The whirly bird used to throw a singletail is a don't in my opinion.

WITD 201.36 What Plait Count is Better15 viewsWhat plait count is better for play in a dungeon with a singletail? All classes of kangaroo whips, signal whips, snake whips, and bullwhips have plait counts: 8, 12, 16 plait are considered working whips. Are these lower plait counts adequate for dungeon play? Collector's grade whips with plait count >16 are much more expensive: 20, 24, 32 and higher are beautiful works of art and theoretically should be better articulated than a 16 plait whip. Watch the demonstration and get Dex's take on it and form your own opinions.

Caning 101.26 Music51 viewsMusic is an essential component for a good caning scene. Connecting the energy of the music with the energy in the cane to the caning bottom allows the cane to be played in synergy with the surrounding energy and other instruments playing in the dungeon. Watch an example of how this is done. Regardless of which stroke or technique is being used tie that technique to the beat of the music.

WITD 101.65 Whip Not to Buy9 viewsIf your focus is on BDSM/leather and dungeon play then your first whip should be a whip that you can throw in the dungeon. A long time recommendation for a first whip among whip instructors has been a 6' whip as a longer whip has a slower action and a beginner can learn basic cracking and sport cracking quicker using a longer whip. Here's why for leather a 6' whip is not the best whip to buy for a beginner.

WITD 301.39 Safety for Whip Round Robins7 viewsMultiple whip throwers, a single or multiple whip bottom, all throwing 360 degrees around a whip catcher. Different experience for both the throwers and bottom receiving multiple whips simultaneously. Throwing styles can clash resulting in a whip getting tangled or deflected. Whip catchers should all be wearing eye protection whether a leather blindfold or safety goggles. Two whip thrower round robins the throwers stay opposite of each other. Three whip throwers each have about 120 degrees of the circle to work in, 4 whip throwers have about 1/4 of the pie. I do not recommend round robins with more than 4 whip throwers. All should be skilled enough that the bottom agrees to stand for them individually.

WITD 501.31 Breaking in Matched Sets of Dungeon Whips0 viewsDex guides through the thought process of breaking in a matched set of dungeon whips as opposed to a single dungeon whip. Contrasting with breaking a whip in taking a basic cracking or sport cracking approach. In a nutshell, break the whips in by throwing them using all of the same techniques you would use throwing in the dungeon. Do not use basic cracking or sport cracking techniques, or even the static bow & arrow dungeon technique. Bow & arrow cannot be thrown with two handed whip technique, only the static over the shoulder technique can be used. Teach the new whips to behave using your throwing technique and break them in using the techniques and throwing style you use in the dungeon.Apr 21, 2024

WITD 301.46 Grips - Different Ways of Holding Your Whip Part 10 viewsThis would seem like a beginner's topic but there is a "classic" ball/socket hand shake grip that I teach in beginning dungeon whips. All of the other whip grip variations I consider part of the intermediate to advanced whip conversation.Apr 21, 2024

WITD 301.46 Grips - Different Ways of Holding Your Whip Part 20 viewsDiscussion of index finger point grip and thumb push grip correlated to specific styles of throwing. Limitations of range of motion using both grips make one adaptable for horizontal technique but limited range of motion for overhand technique. While the opposite is true for the other grip. Watch and find out the details.Apr 21, 2024

Gong Show 06 OTK and the J-Stroke0 viewsOTK and the J Stroke
Special thanks to the yellow chicken demo bottom.
Spanko purists only believe in bare handed Over The Knee (OTK) spanking. But for those who use implements in OTK do not forget short canes. I call these "shorties", perfect for OTK. Most of the techniques already covered can be adapted for OTK. This video also introduces the J Stroke."Apr 08, 2024

Gong Show 07 Caning 101.30 Corporal Punishment0 viewsCaning 101.30 Corporal Punishment
Corporal Punishment is a specialty caning scene where punishment is enacted for the caning bottom messing up. Caning bottoms have an unlimited number of ways to get themselves in trouble when they have a caning top who has set some rules or limits for them. A variation of the corporal punishment scene is a judicial punishment scene where the bottom is taken before a judge to have the charges read and a sentence given.Apr 07, 2024

Gong Show 05 Caning 101.31 Over the Shoulder0 viewsCaning 101.31 Over the Shoulder
Two over the shoulder techniques are demonstrated. The first I learned watching Dea_Dhelia from Belgium doing corporal punishment. It is quite a long stroke, but if the setup is correct and care taken can be very accurate. It has a long swing, and utilizes hips, legs etc to generate power. The second technique would only be used if the caning bottom is lying down on a massage or bondage table.Apr 07, 2024
