Caning 101.11 Drumming or Percussion143 viewsDrumming is rhythmic caning using one or two canes to the beat of the music playing. I personally like to keep my drumming with even rhythmic strikes focusing on connecting the beat and energy of the music to the caning bottom. This helps with head space and preparation for heavier caning to follow. Percussion can involve variations in intensity and heaviness of strikes. I personally do not use it that way. It can also be a type of rhythmic massage. Any cane or canes can be used, but I like "shorties" for this technique.

Caning 101.12 Bouncing126 viewsBouncing creates wonderful sensations and utilizes the vibrations of a well tuned balanced cane. The key to a good bounce is how the cane is held. Watch to find out how to bounce. Variations easily come from using different canes as each cane will have a different frequency and produce different vibrations.

Caning 101.13 Strike Back126 viewsThe strike back technique demoed. Learn how a block of tofu relates to caning. This technique produces yet another sensation with variation depending upon the cane or rod selected.

Caning 101.14 Strike Through123 viewsStrike Through is an intense technique. A flexible well conditioned cane is a must. Be sure and let the bottom breath after each strike. Position the cane to ensure you are not wrapping or tipping otherwise you increase the chance of breaking the cane with this technique. Watch to see how this is done.

Caning 101.15 Strike and Hold107 viewsStrike and Hold can be done with a partial stroke or a full stroke. A well tuned cane will make a tone with this stroke. Different canes make different tones. Visualize delivering all of the energy of the cane in the stroke and holding it until all of the energy (vibration) has dissipated into the strike area. Watch this video to see how it is done and the reaction of Moodstone's lovely bottom.

Caning 101.17 OTK and the J Stroke113 viewsSpanko purists only believe in bare handed Over The Knee (OTK) spanking. But for those who use implements in OTK do not forget short canes. I call these "shorties", perfect for OTK. Most of the techniques already covered can be adapted for OTK. This video also introduces the J Stroke.

Caning 101.18 Ramping Up97 viewsRamping Up is a technique to build the intensity of a caning scene. It can be done with any technique. If don't with Strike and Hold, or Strike and Draw the hold or draw would be saved for the last stroke of the ramped up set. Watch and see how this is done. Moodstone complained a little because this was done without a warmup. Ramping Up would normally be done after a warmup and as a scene progresses.

Caning 101.19 Tuning Your Cane87 viewsTuning Your Cane discusses what to do if your cane becomes "dead". Often this is simply a matter of reconditioning the cane. Sometimes it occurs due to something happening to the cane that causes it to turn "dead". Watch to see how to get those "good vibrations" back into your wonderful cane. @Octobermann for his help with this project.

Caning 101.20 Don't Break Your Cane84 viewsDon't Break Your Cane gives tips and pointers to help reduce the chance of breaking your rattan canes. Of course any natural cane can break, but these tips will minimize the chance of them breaking. In 20 years of caning, I've never personally broken a rattan cane (where's a wood table to knock on).

Caning 101.21 Equipment and Positions81 viewsConsider the type of equipment you are using for your caning scene. The position of the caning bottom is key to the experience they will have on the receiving end. Flaccid skin as opposed to tension-ed skin, relaxed muscle as opposed to flexed. All produce different experiences on the receiving end of the cane.

Caning 101.22 Playing The Cane As An Instrument82 viewsVisualize the cane as an instrument and the person being caned as also an instrument. Watch how these instruments can be played together in synchronous harmony to complement the dungeon orchestra.
