WITD 301.34 Airing Out Various Whip Makers Various Bullwhips15 viewsEvery few months I throw whips that are not part of my normal dungeon toybag. This session included whips by Peter Jack, Viper, Peter Thorndike, Johnny Ohgren, Desert Minx, and Evan Fava. All great whip makers and wonderful whips. I point out small things about each whip that keep them out of my normal toybag loadout. Small nuances.Dec 29, 2022

05 - Hankie Codes7 views05 What is a Hankie Code?
Handkerchief codes have been around for decades and modern ones seem to use all of the colors in the crayon box so every sexual appetite is represented. However, originally hankie codes covered mostly the primary colors. Bob Damron's Address Book (1980) has 12 hankie codes that were in use in the 70's and 80's in gay bars and clubs. Lesbian hankie codes are very similar with mustard being the main difference. Mustard on the lesbian code system indicates a foot fetish, while on the gay chart indicates 8+ inches. Modern pansexual clubs seem to be using a wrist band system more so than hankie codes.Dec 29, 2022

06 - Wristband System7 views06 What is a Wristband System?
The modern clubs and groups, at least in the pansexual leather community, seem to be migrating away from a hankie code. Perhaps in a way to provide order and clarity for those interested in BDSM but not specifically interested in leather. There seems to be a trend to using a wristband system and the use of colored wristbands and their meanings varies from organization to organization and club to club, dungeon to dungeon. But the consistency is Dom/Top still flag on the left wrist, and sub/bottom flag on the right wrist. Beyond that pay close attention to the colors and what they mean at the particular venue or group you are attending. Use them to fit in and be a conversation starting point if nothing else.Dec 29, 2022

Leather Houses 101.10d Building a Lifestyle Bed side view bedrail7 viewsBuilding a Lifestyle Bed
Visualize the bottom bent over face down on the mattress. Top entry is from behind. Or visualize the bottom laying on the bed with legs off the side spread eagle and feet resting on the bedrail. Top is standing erect and tall as the magical measurement of boot to root subtracted from floor to sweet spot was where the iron bedrails holding the mattress are mounted. This brings up your mattress and foundation when the submissive is laying or bent across the bed to the root of either cock or strapon. It ensures leverage against the G-spot when playing with a female that's laying on the bed. Read my two writings regarding Building a Lifestyle Bed and the Magical MeasurementDec 25, 2022

Footboard: 4x4 corner posts, 2x8 box spring and mattress rails, 2x6 top rail that originally formed a canopy rail when the bed originally had 8' corner posts. Hardware represented are 1/2" lag screws counter sunk. Notice I didn't take the time to stain the counter sunk holes. That would give it a more finished look, but one could argue that leaving the counter sunk holes unstained gives it some character. Notice the blacklight mounted on the top rail of the headboard.Dec 25, 2022

This is a current picture of the bed. Put your pretend caps on and visualize that originally the top rail was a 2x6 on all 4 sides of 8' 4x4 corner posts and formed a canopy rail all the way around the top. The canopy rail was removed and the head board and foot board cut down to a more normal size when we moved to Florida. The bedroom has a ceiling fan that would not accommodate a canopy rail. A close look at the footboard will reveal holes where the St. Andrew's Cross was originally bolted. It is still a grand bed and forms many lifestyle functions. It is however, not as dramatic as when it had a canopy rail and St. Andrew's Cross incorporated into the footboard.Dec 25, 2022

04 - What is TNG6 viewsTNG is an acronym for The Next Generation. TNG groups form within the larger BDSM/leather community as a special interest group (SIG) for younger members who are interested in leather but uncomfortable playing in front of folks the age of their parents and grandparents. Many parents also are not comfortable playing erotically in front of their children. So generally speaking entry age into a TNG is 18 y.o. but sometimes 21 y.o. depending upon local laws regarding obscenity, tobacco, alcohol and local community standards. Most groups have 18 y.o. as an entry point. If an 18 y.o. has a child and is interested in leather that child will be 18 y.o. when the parent turns 36 y.o. As a result most TNG groups age out when a member turns 36.Dec 25, 2022

WITD Q & A 101.07 Tips For Forming a Whip Practice Group12 viewsRecently someone asked me to share tips and suggestions for starting a whip practice group. Here it is. First find a common time, identify the goals and purposes of the group (ex. dungeon play, or sport cracking), then based on the required space needed to achieve the group's goals and purpose find a space to practice. Indoors is ideal in that it eliminates weather. Remember the Whips in the Dungeon practice is the third Saturday of each month at 1 pm EST using Zoom. So even if you have a local practice group, consider Zooming in and joining us.Dec 20, 2022

WITD 501.20 Dynamically Grounding the Whip Throwing Two Handed10 viewsWhen throwing whips longer than 6', the whip is grounded either straight out in front of the thrower or straight out behind the thrower. However, how does one ground a short whip that is too short to reach the floor? This segment revisits dynamically grounding a short whip and demonstrates how to ground the whip when throwing two handed. It also revisits together timing, staggered timing and distributed timing and shows how simply grounding the whip achieves distributed timing.Dec 20, 2022
