WITD 401.50 Crosscut Saw (Albert King)30 viewsAlbert King was a blues guitarist and on YouTube you will find many variations and lengths of this song. Blues guitarists depending upon the venue, the crowd, their feeling of the music would repeat riffs and ad lib with the musicality and playfulness of a song. Some of these YouTube versions are over 8 min long. This is a 2 min version. Whip Catcher: ladysally. Blues bullwhip: Peter Jack.Jul 18, 2020

WITD 301.06 The Arrowhead48 viewsThe Arrowhead is a sport cracking throw that when modified has application in advanced dungeon throwing. See how I modify it for use in dungeon scenes. Multiple cracks is a visualization process, some might watch the video and interpret this crack sequence as a single point volley alternating sides. I visualize it as an Arrowhead without the reverse cracks (which are useless in the dungeon), or a modified arrowhead. However, someone visualizes it with good results is the only thing that is important.Jul 17, 2020

WITD 301.05 Long Whip Style50 viewsLong Whip Style Long whips are any whip with a thong or plaited length 6' or longer. A 6' bullwhip or snake whip will have a total length of 8+ feet with fall and cracker included. Long whips take a lot of dungeon space, most dungeons can't accommodate them. The cattleman's crack and overhand crack are shown. The U-shaped overhand crack is recommended for beginning dungeon play using a long whip as the rollout, and control of targeting controlled puffs is easier with this crack. A tip on grounding the whip is illustrated.Jul 16, 2020

WITD 301.04 The Song43 viewsThe Song Each dungeon song creates an opportunity for a mini-vignette. Songs are musically structured with a beginning, middle and ending. Play with a song using a single toy. Think of the first verse as the warmup with that particular dungeon whip, chorus build slightly. Second verse begin to ramp up, chorus build more. Final verse build to final chorus crescendo. Tailor the 1-10 scale for that particular whip and song for where you are in Sequencing Play (WITD 101.41). For example with a flogger, play might be in sequence for warmup pain scale 1-4. Next song cat o' nine pain scale 3-6. etc. Each song is a mini-scene within the larger sequence of the entire play scene of say 45 min- 1 hr.Jul 15, 2020

WITD 401.45 Zombie (Bad Wolves)28 viewsA shoutout to @Bacara33 for Zombie by Bad Wolves. Whip catcher, Moodstone is rocking a silver metal dress. This video features an attempt at a 3 crack combination: an underhand flick on the forehand side, recovery on the forehand followed by a rolling forehand flick, recovery on the backhand side finished with a cutback. The underhand flick in this video is cracked outside the right hip intentionally following the "don't hit anything you cannot see" rule. After 20 years of throwing this is the current combination I'm working on so it is still a work in progress to throw this with control on a whip catcher.Jul 13, 2020

WITD 201.07 The Cutback54 viewsThe Cutback Almost 50 videos into the series and this is the first S-shaped crack taught. Sport crackers often teach the Circus crack or Cattleman's crack as the first crack to learn. While it is the easiest crack to learn and the loudest to crack. This S-shaped crack depending upon the geometric plane it is thrown in goes by many names. When angled on the backhand side on a diagonal, it can be called a backhand cattleman's crack, or a Cutback. A cattleman's crack naturally wants to crack 2/3 of the way down the thong. Long before it reaches its dungeon target, a whip catcher. So slow the cutback way down when learning it and let the S-shape, transition into a U-shape and let it rollout all the way to its target for a controlled puff finish. Then practice it with controlled puffs. The first crack learned sport cracking is the LAST crack to learn when the goal is throwing in the dungeon on a living target with control and finesse.Jul 13, 2020
