Leathers 101.08 Muir Cover10 viewsOften called the Muir Cap in the gay leather community, most often referred to as the Muir Cover in the pansexual leather community is the icon that identifies a recognized Master within the community. In some leather circles S types wear this style of cover but unembellished. More often S types are presented and wear a leather ballcap style cover. In my opinion this cover should be one of the pieces of leather never purchased but always presented by a leather family, house, pack, tribe, club or other leather organization. It symbolizes not only knowledge within the lifestyle and community involvement, but represents the leather principles of honor, integrity, trust, respect, and loyalty. Traditions vary regarding the Muir cover. It should be passed from person to person by holding the sides of the hat band, taking care to never touch the brim. Brim should remain free from fingerprints and the cover should be donned in such a way as to not touch the brim when putting on or taking off. There are several companies making this style of leather cover, but the Muir Cap & Regalia, LTD., 270 Esna Park Dr Unit 12, Markham, ON L3R 1H3, Canada (phone: +1 289-459-0495) is the authentic cover to my knowledge.

Leathers 101.09 Leather Floggers10 viewsIt took 23 years to make this video as that is how long I've been collecting floggers. Most of the floggers featured in this video were made by Happy Tails when Stan Sherman and Lezlie Ceran were the owners/artisans. Stan cut the tails, and balanced the handles, Lezlie plaited the handles and probably has plaited a gazillion Turk's Heads and Pineapple knots. One of the characteristics of their superb floggers is that all of the handles and patterns are plaited using kangaroo lacing regardless of the leather the tails are made out of. At the time I began exploring floggers, IMHO, only Janette Heartwood was making a comparable flogger. So from light doeskin to heavy bullhide this collection runs the gammit of leather and exotics.

WITD 501.20 Dynamically Grounding the Whip Throwing Two Handed10 viewsWhen throwing whips longer than 6', the whip is grounded either straight out in front of the thrower or straight out behind the thrower. However, how does one ground a short whip that is too short to reach the floor? This segment revisits dynamically grounding a short whip and demonstrates how to ground the whip when throwing two handed. It also revisits together timing, staggered timing and distributed timing and shows how simply grounding the whip achieves distributed timing.

Leather Houses 101.17 Magical Measurement 210 viewsMagical Measurement What the Heck is it REALLY For?
The previous video 101.12 on this topic talked in code, for those who need it in plain English here it is. For male/female play it is all about leveraging the appendage against the G-Spot. For female/female play using a strap-on same purpose. There are advantages for male/male and female/male play but they aren't quite as magical.

08 - A Singletail10 viewsThere is a common almost colloquial use of the term within the Leather/BDSM scene and there's a function use of the term as defined in Whips in the Dungeon: Singletail Techniques for Play by Dex. In the scene, most often, a singletail refers to a signal whip also called a dog signal whip. Functionally, however, any whip that ends in a single tail is a type of singletail. There are different classes of whips that all are types of singletails. So a dragontail, signal, snake, bullwhip and stockwhip are all types of singletails. Now everyone knows what a singletail is!

WITD 101.67 First Whip Purchase10 viewsWhat whip or whips do I recommend for a beginner making their first whip purchase? Pretty simple, either a 3' dragontail or a 3' signal whip. Parachord is less expensive than kangaroo. A 3' single belly "budget" build kangaroo signal whip is adequate as a leather starter whip. A 4' signal whip should have two bellies to provide optimum performance.

13 - Down and Dirty with Snake Whips10 viewsLove the fluidity and motion of a snake whip. A 2' snake whip is too short. A 3' snake whip is the preferred length in dungeon play as it is 4 -4 1/2' total length. 4 & 5' snakes are too long for most dungeons. A 6' snake is fun to do wraps with outdoors.

|

12 - After a Starter Whip What Next10 viewsAfter your 3' signal starter whip what's next? If your preferred throwing style is horizontal simply move up to a 4' signal whip with a two belly build. If you prefer overhand or forward figure 8 then consider a 3' snake whip. The 3' snake whip will add fluidity of movement and learning how to control the fall of the whip into the target. This is an intermediate step to moving up to a bullwhip.
